If your backyard can hold a tennis court, we can build you one. Full regulation, compact recreational, post-tension concrete with acrylic finish for tournament feel — whatever your space and game call for. We've installed tennis courts across Bergen County for 20+ years. Free quote in 24 hours.
Tennis at the local club is a great social activity. Tennis in your backyard is a way of life. No reserved time slots. No driving to a court in summer traffic. No paying for guest passes. Just walk outside, pick up the racquet, and play.
And while pickleball gets all the headlines, tennis isn't going anywhere. Families with serious players, kids in junior tournaments, and adults who want a real court at home are still our top tennis customer — and the build quality required hasn't dropped.
We size every court to the players, the space, and the use case. Three configurations we build most often:
Tournament-spec singles and doubles court. Used by serious players, junior tournament hopefuls, and anyone who wants the real thing in their yard. Needs the space, plays like the courts you saw at the US Open.
Slightly reduced footprint with full doubles markings. Great for casual play, lessons, and family practice. Most popular for NJ properties under an acre.
Use the tennis footprint to also lay out pickleball, basketball half-court, and volleyball with overlaid lines. Maximum versatility per square foot.
Every tennis court includes professional site prep, engineered drainage (critical for clay-based NJ soil), structural base (concrete or asphalt), surface install, net system, and a written scope of work.
Tennis courts are built on three main surface systems. Each plays differently:
| Surface | Feel | Lifespan | Maintenance |
|---|---|---|---|
| VersaCourt Tile | Cushioned, joint-friendly | 20+ years | Hose & sweep |
| Concrete | Hard, traditional, durable | 25+ years | Periodic seal |
| Asphalt | Tough, cost-effective | 15–20 years | Resurface + seal |
| Acrylic Coating (over concrete or asphalt) | Pro-tour finish, vibrant colors | 8–12 yrs before re-coat | Periodic resurface |
Acrylic on post-tension concrete is the gold standard for tennis — it's what major arenas use, plays the most consistently, and won't crack for 25+ years. VersaCourt tile is the joint-friendly option for recreational players who don't want hard-surface impact.
Every style, surface, and layout is fully customizable and can be designed and built for your needs.

Most courts complete in 2–6 weeks depending on weather and base type. We protect your landscaping, manage permits, and keep you updated daily.
We hand you a finished court with a walk-through of care for the surface. Game on.
"Both our daughters play junior tournaments. Having a real court at home has changed their game and our schedule. The post-tension concrete base means no cracks, no warps, plays like a professional venue."
"I'm 62 and I wanted to keep playing tennis without the long drives. Compact court in my yard plays just like my old club — minus the membership fees and the wait times."
"Outstanding craftsmanship. We've had the court for three years and it still looks brand new. They've come back twice for free check-ins."
Full regulation tennis is 60 × 120 ft (about a third of an acre). A compact recreational court fits in 45 × 100 ft. We can fit a hitting wall + half-court in under 30 × 50 ft if space is really limited.
Acrylic on post-tension concrete. It's what the US Open uses (hard court), it plays consistently, and the post-tensioning eliminates the cracking that ruins most older tennis courts.
4–8 weeks depending on base type. Concrete-based courts take longer because of cure time and structural curing. VersaCourt tile over an existing or freshly-laid asphalt base is the fastest path.
Yes — tennis courts require a building or zoning permit in every Bergen County municipality due to their size and lighting setbacks. We manage the permit process as part of the build.
Yes. Tennis courts need higher-output LED systems than basketball or pickleball — usually dual-head 5000K fixtures on tall poles. We engineer the lighting setup as part of the design.
Acrylic surfaces need resurfacing every 8–10 years depending on play frequency. VersaCourt tile is essentially maintenance-free. Both need periodic cleaning — just a hose & sweep.
Absolutely — fencing is critical for tennis courts because of how far balls travel. 10-ft chain-link with windscreen is standard. We coordinate the fence install alongside the court.
