Hockey, Volleyball
& Specialty Courts

Backyard hockey rinks, sand and turf volleyball, regulation bocce, shuffleboard, and custom specialty pads. Built to the same standard as our tennis and basketball work.

Specialty Sports Courts

Not every backyard sport gets its own headline. We install hockey rinks, volleyball courts, bocce courts, shuffleboard, and other specialty surfaces across New Jersey. If you have an idea, tell us — we've probably built it.

What We Build

Backyard Hockey Rinks

Roller-hockey and dek-hockey rinks with dasher boards, plexi-glass, and VersaCourt or acrylic playing surface. Convertible ice options with liner + boards. Full or half rinks — size to your yard.

Sand Volleyball Courts

Regulation 30×60 ft sand courts with proper drainage base, edging, poles, and net. Palm-Beach-quality sand or budget masonry sand — we spec to your usage.

Grass or Turf Volleyball

Turf-surface volleyball pads for indoor-style play outdoors. Great for HOAs and camps that don't want the sand maintenance.

Bocce Courts

Traditional oyster-shell or synthetic-surface bocce courts. Regulation 13×90 ft, or scaled down. Wood or masonry perimeter with proper drainage.

Shuffleboard Courts

Concrete shuffleboard with pigmented finish, precision-scribed scoring diamonds, and cue rests. Backyard or HOA amenity.

Custom & Mixed-Use

Four-square, gaga pits, wallball, kanjam pads, Spikeball zones, backyard cornhole platforms. If you can describe it, we can build it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you build dek-hockey and roller-hockey rinks?

Yes. Dasher-board rink with plexi-glass, VersaCourt or smooth-poured playing surface, entry gate, and (optionally) rink lighting. Full-size, half-size, or backyard-scale.

Can I have a hockey rink that also plays basketball?

Yes — VersaCourt tile is our go-to for this. It plays fine for street hockey and dek-hockey and doubles as a basketball surface. Add a hoop and you have a multi-sport rink.

What's the difference between sand and grass/turf volleyball?

Sand courts are the classic — softer landing, forgiving on knees, but they need maintenance (raking, sand top-ups). Turf volleyball pads are lower-maintenance and easier to share with other sports.

What size is a regulation bocce court?

Regulation is 13×90 ft. Backyard bocce is typically 8–12 ft wide by 40–60 ft long — plenty for casual and league play.

Do you build shuffleboard courts?

Yes — regulation outdoor shuffleboard on a concrete slab with precision scoring, or a compact HOA-amenity version. We spec cues, discs, and cue rests as part of the package.

Can you combine multiple sports on one pad?

Absolutely. We regularly design multi-use pads with basketball, pickleball, volleyball lines, four-square, and gaga pits sharing space. VersaCourt tile is ideal for this.
